Setting a poem to music takes the fear away for any children nervous about poetry, and opens up imagination, creativity, enjoyment, enthusiasm for words and expression, as I find in my poetry workshops. Often, children are so inspired, they sing their own poems, loud and confidently in front of their peers, at reading out time! I’m often totally amazed!
