Many children are more comfortable listening to poems than reading them – they can sit, lie down, stroll about, draw, or whatever they want to do, while dreaming along to the poems.
There are also lots of poems for children to listen to perhaps while drawing or doing calming craft work – poems about colours, castles, clouds, trees, starting at a new school, and feeling left out in the playground – with lots more to come! There are thoughtful poems, funny ones, fun, fascinating, spooky, chatty… you name it. If they’re not up there yet, they’re on the way!
