Ignore the recession, and winter depression!
The music of words is still here.

Whatever the hiccups and hassles and hurdles,
the stresses and losses and sorrows and burdens –
whatever the tangles and wretches and wrangles,
poetry won’t disappear.

That, in a way, is what I shall say 
to the kids in my workshops this year.
