Had a fabulous time at the Poetry Cafe, London on Friday 5th September, meeting fellow children’s poets from across the UK and even over the pond in the USA (Ken Nesbitt no less). I’m the only one in the picture still downing cuppas on that hot afternoon, by the looks of it (and the only one in pink – not the most poetic colour, perhaps?).
Lovely to catch up with old poetry pals and to meet others for the first time in The Poetry Society’s hide-away cafe space. Well done to all the poets-turned-cake-makers and special thanks to Liz Brownlee and Sarah Ziman for gathering us all up and running the event!
