Here is a free, festive, fun resource for the end of the Christmas term!
You’re welcome to take screenshots for personal or school use (though not for any sort of commercial purpose).

Santa’s Café is an alliteration game (linking words with same initial sounds, like Teachers on Toast – sorry, teachers!). Below, you’ll see two pages of extra ideas – handy prompts for teachers, parents and carers encouraging development.
Aim – to create a menu. But it has to be a Santa-relevant menu, with magical, wintery, Christmassy features – Sparkle Sandwiches perhaps or Jingle-bells Jam.
The game can be enjoyed out loud or in writing – preferably both, first together for shared ideas, excitement and giggles, then in writing for individual menu creations!
Develop! Some children may like to add extra details – side dishes, allergy ingredients (allergic to magic?), or prices in fantasy money – snowflakes or red noses for £££?

Variations on this game have proved extremely popular in my poetry workshops. I also have an alliteration poem in my new book, Squeak! Squawk! Roar! See if you can spot it!
You may also find my Christmas Bauble Writing sheets handy.
Have fun!
Kate
