Many thanks for looking in!
My Teach Poetry series is on hold for a while, due to commitments with launching my upcoming book, Squeak! Squawk! Roar!, to be released on 9th January by Otter-Barry Books.
By the way, have you pre-ROARdered your copies yet for those classroom bookshelves?!?
It’s the SQUAWK of the town! (Lowest price guarantee for pre-orders on Amazon.)
Meanwhile, here’s my overall message about poetry-writing with your class:
Let it swing!
That means, of course, swing for everyone – your strugglers, mid-levels and high-flyers, all at once, and you, as their inspirer, too! This may be a tricky balancing act at times but by keeping up the pace, plenty of activity variation, nothing too complex, and lots of interaction and encouragement, you’ll all have a whale of a time!
12 pointers to browse!
Remember, there are 12 tips and ideas already in this series, and many more resources in the archives and across my website pages.
By the way, if you’re planning an author visit for next term, look no further than my Workshops page!
