SUMMER GRASS – video-poem
‘Summer Grass’ – a free YouTube resource! – is a poem for running your fingers through, sinking into, rolling through, and lying flat in the depths of, to gaze up at the sky. Wings will pass overhead – bird wings? butterfly wings? – and the clear, blue sky will shine down on you. But be quick – the tractor is on its way, with its ruthless thresher!
‘Summer Grass’ is my most popular video-poem, with over 41,000 views this season, so chances are you and yours will enjoy it too! I can’t bring you the guitar chords on this page, but here are a few grassy glimpses of the picture sequence which accompanies the poem:
You can also find grassy resources at my shop,
such as my Meadow colouring sheet, and with one line to write: I can see… ; also Precious World poster, and a range of other nature-themed activities.
