Get creative with shadows!

One of the best things about sunshine is the shadows it produces – the mottled shades, dancing dapples and quirky, crisp-cut silhouettes.

Light and shade bring scenes alive. They’re also fun to photograph, so if the sun’s out, get your phone, pick a shadow or two and start clicking.

A decorative subject – like this patch of wild flowers – adds an extra dimension to the picture.

Tree shadows, fences, washing on the line, rooftops, and all sorts of other outdoor objects can make an interesting shadow snap…

… and if you’re indoors, the results can be just as stunning. See what’s illuminated at that moment – what kitchen item, living-room ornament, bedroom wall, and the wonky shade it’s producing – and catch it.

Then share, of course!
