Skype Creativity for Lockdown

Hello teachers,

As schools close, I’m offering Skype sessions for primary groups and individuals, to suit.

Focus:

Poetry, Creative Expression and all-round Literacy and Communication enhancement.

Content:
my sessions will be fun and action-packed, incorporating drama, music and vocabulary-stretching challenges, with pictures, props and games. They will also be educational in a broader sense, focusing on a range of topics, such as space, castles, seasons and animals.

Resources:
I can also provide follow-on worksheets for an extra cost. Schools and parents can also access my online shop at
https://www.tes.com/teaching-
resources/shop/katewilliams_poetry for fun, low-cost writing frames and rhymes – some free.

My fee per session will be negotiable, allowing for preparation too. Being self-employed, with no funding or compensation for lost work, I regret that I’m unable to offer these services for free.

Recommended duration: 30 mins. for EY/KS1; 30 – 45 mins. for KS2, + extra time for connecting, tech. blips etc., as needed.

Qualifications & experience: as a published children’s poet, I’ve been providing creative writing workshops for primary schools since 2001. I’m represented by the writers-for-schools agency, Authors Abroad, and Literacy Wales, and listed with the Poetry Society’s recommended writers for schools. I also teach English as a foreign language on Skype to young children overseas. Details, photos and feedback available on my website.

If you are interested, please get in touch any time to discuss.

Meanwhile, good luck and do your best to keep well and strong!
