Now & Then

This is to announce the launch of a new and original entertainment for history societies: Now & Then – a poetry and music show comprising punchy, yet thought-provoking poems about present and past.

My 1-hour performance compares the ups and downs of modern life with those of past eras, with wry humour, shadowy atmosphere, twists, fun and wit.  Commentary, anecdotes, and songs with classical guitar add extra dimensions to the event, as we swing between chain mail and email, between ancient text and that one on your mobile there, between mud-stuck cart and – er – traffic-jammed car.  As with my other two shows, all the material is my own. 

Now & Then is theme No. 3, to be offered along with my two Comedy Poetry Shows, The Grim Side of Gardening and The Mad Side of Modern.
